Become More Conversion Focused 

Back in January your new leather day planner may have been full of good intentions – but your resolution to eat more kale took a nosedive pretty quick. So why not dedicate the remainder of 2016 to increasing your conversion rates?

Creating landing pages with strong information hierarchy is a great way to streamline your messaging and keep visitors focused on your call-to-action.

After all: clear pages are persuasive pages.

STEP 1:
TIDY UP!

To prompt more conversions, avoid overwhelming your leads with too much info. Review your landing pages and consider which points are needed.

E.g. Is there copy distracting from your call-to-action? Try to only include info your prospects need to know to convert. Also, try putting important but potentially lengthy info in lightboxes (more on this later!).

STEP 2:
PLUG THE LEAKS

Use lightboxes to include details visitors would otherwise have to navigate elsewhere to find.

Depending on your offer, your leads might need more info to convert. That's where lightboxes come in handy.

This ensures leads stay on your page, where they can convert.

STEP 3:
Test, Test, Test

Got a landing page for your in-person event? Try including details about your keynotes or location in a lightbox so visitors don’t navigate away from a potential ticket purchase.

Privacy policies

Every landing page collecting leads’ info should link to a privacy policy, but the trick is not to link to a new page. Consider including your policy in a lightbox so visitors don’t veer off-course.

Extras & fine details

Have landing pages devoted to specific products, discounts, subscriptions, or contests? Go ahead and try including details—extra product features, limitations, rules, or social proof—in lightboxes.

Many marketers have found that by putting their form in a lightbox  that's triggered by a button click, they were able to increase conversion rates.
