Busy: What's new in May? 🎁

Hi there,

It's a new month, which means new updates! In this article, we show what's new in the last month. A lot of new project management and budgeting features have been added, so keep reading. grinning

You can now specify budgets for your project. Budgets can be activated on the project details page and give you full control of the project's status — either in time- or money budgets.

We've added a new page for project status. Here, you can see how much time or money is spent on the project — as well as if the projects are going over budget! Wondering what a column means? Hover your mouse over the column title to read a description.

Do you have a fixed-price contract with your client? In Busy, you can now add a fixed price to a project, which can optionally get reset weekly or monthly.

Busy automatically calculates the effective hourly rate for the project. You additionally get a status of the fixed-price project on the status page, where you can compare what the project would have made if it had time-based payment.

You can choose which tags should be included in the fixed price and which should be invoiced in addition to it — perfect if you, for instance, charge for consulting outside the regular fixed price work.

We have refreshed the plan page and have also upgraded the client hours plan, increasing the limit for active projects from 50 to 500! confetti_ball

Last month we released our new calendar integration, where all calendar entries are to be approved in a new inbox. After feedback from our users, we've made a few adjustments:

  1. The inbox now shows entries up to three weeks back in time, thereby giving you more time to review the entries.
  2. We have made it easier to see when people are busy; unhandled calendar events are now visible on your timeline, both for yourself and others on your team.
