We managed to get the gradient background to work over all email platforms with a fallback for outlook, which pretty much gives the same effect.
We tried to use colour in an effective way throughout the background &#038; imagery and gave shape to the email by creating different sections, almost like a newsletter format. This also give the subscriber a feel for the event itself.
