Now that the chilly weather has officially arrived, I'm craving warm, cozy soups and stews like crazy. This gingery chicken soup full of zoodles and carrots sounds great (but I'll add a handful of cooked pasta for my noodle-loving girls). Or maybe I'll do a hearty Irish lamb stew flecked with barley. Or—my favorite—ropa vieja (saucy shredded beef) served with rice and black beans. (Any meal
that includes rice and beans is a hit with my kids, thankfully.)
