Move the right info between apps

When you create a Zap, you need to tell Zapier what information you want to move between your apps and where to put it. This is called mapping your data.

In this video, you'll learn how to use data mapping to customize your Zaps so they'll work exactly the way you want them to.

What is data mapping?

Data mapping is a way of telling your Zap which information it should trigger from or use to complete an action. To map data, select the required fields for each app in your Zap as you're prompted.

You can also customize optional fields. In this case, you can specify the name and profile image displayed along with these Slack messages.
