Much of what is transpiring in the world right now feels like a bad dream, one that we all hope ends soon. As a team, we’re focused on doing our part to help limit the spread of COVID-19.
Today we made the very difficult, but necessary, decision to close our Tuft & Needle stores. Our hope is to reopen the stores in early April, provided that guidelines from local governments and the CDC indicate it is safe to do so.
Our online store is still up and running with standard shipping times and support hours. We know that we are limited in what we can contribute in these very uncertain times, but we are doing two things today in an effort to help our communities get a better night’s sleep:
First, we are extending a 15% discount to all healthcare workers. We know that we will need them more than ever during this time and we want to do our part to help each of them get some rest.*
Second, we are moving up a planned sale for April to today. Should you, or new customers, want to get some products at a more accessible price, our 10% off site wide Spring Sale is now available.
Earlier this week, I drafted a note to our team, and while it was a piece of internal communication, I still feel strongly it applies to the world at large; as such, I wanted to share it with all of you:
The events of the past 2-3 weeks have accelerated so rapidly that it is difficult to comprehend. It’s also difficult to know what the next 1-2 months might look like for us personally, as a country, and as a worldwide community. In most moments in life when I feel anxious or concerned, I generally lean on relationships with those I trust. Thanks to the incredible co-workers, friends, and family in my life, I feel motivated to work hard and solve the complex problems we’re faced with right now. So today, I want to ask a favor of each of you—really, two things:
All my best,
Nick Arambula
Interim CEO
