1 — Why was the Smoothing Set Created?The Buffing Bar, Smoothing Solution and Carea Cream, AKA Smoothing Set, were the first trio of products we released into the world, back in May 2021.

These 3 formulas work in unison to target keratosis pilaris, rough/bumpy skin, and dryness.

The combination of a moderate-to-intense physical weekly exfoliant (Buffing Bar) and a gentle daily chemical exfoliant (Smoothing Solution), tackles pores clogged by keratin—the main cause for kp/bumps on body skin. Following up with daily use of Carea Cream seals the deal. The inclusion of 10% urea in the formula, a moisturizing and exfoliating multi-tasking superstar, helps to maintain your body skins’ peak smoothness.

2 — Why is Clearing Mist’s fine mister not recyclable?The fine mister cannot be recycled as it is made of mixed materials. Key components include a glass ball valve, a spring forged of stainless steel and a high precision POM (polyoxymethylene) mist orifice. POM is a material chosen for its strength and ability to hold complex geometric shapes, often used in intricate parts such as small gear wheels, ski bindings, fasteners, and lock systems. While misters are commonly tossed after a few uses, this small but mighty appliance has been tested to perform for 10,000 cycles.You can, however, unscrew the component from the bottle and reuse it with your next refill of Clearing Mist. Although the Fine Mister is not recyclable, the Clearing Mist bottle, shipping cap and carton are all recyclable.

3 — Select Comfort Cleanse’s hero ingredient, and the percentage included. Comfort Cleanse is known as the unsung hero at Soft Services HQ.

25% of the formula is made up of glycerin—a water binding ingredient (humectant) that prevents water loss in the skin aiding in a healthy and hydrated skin barrier.

The extra gentle cleansing agents in Comfort Cleanse are commonly found in baby washes, allowing it to be safe for use as an intimate wash. The cushiony water-gel formula leaves body skin feeling so moisturized, you can feel free to skip application of lotion every now and then. As a bonus, you can use it as a shaving lubricant for a comfortable glide and a close, silky shave. Now do you get the hype?

4 — What ingredient makes Smoothing Solution 
calming and gentle for daily use?Those with skin conditions such as keratosis pilaris are no strangers to dry and/or sensitive skin. Regular exfoliation will help shed those built-up dead skin cells that are causing texture concerns, though exfoliating responsibly is key to not disrupt the skin barrier. *Enter Smoothing Solution.*

Smoothing Solution is highly effective at the task above since its formula is packed with A-list calming ingredients such as arnica, aloe and centella asiatica, allowing you to use it daily without experiencing any irritation.

Arnica and centella asiatica are herbs that have long been used in the ancient and medical worlds for their soothing properties, while aloe (which is comprised of 99.5% water) provides instant cooling relief when applied topically. These ingredients are widespread in facial skincare, though there is so much more surface area that deserves VIP treatment—why reserve them for just the face?

5 — What is the function of Zinc PCA in Clearing Mist?One of Clearing Mist’s hero ingredients is salicylic acid—yes, this is true, though please do not overlook the grandeur, grace and efficiency of zinc PCA.

Featured at 2% in the Clearing Mist formula, zinc PCA takes acne-causing bacteria head-on, while working to regulate sebum to alleviate one of the main causes of (body) acne, clogged pores.

Zinc PCA is also known for having anti-fungal properties for those experiencing fungal imbalances i.e. tinea versicolor, which is especially prevalent during sweaty season.
