As a formal introduction, my name is Tyler Denk. I’m currently the cofounder/ceo at beehiiv. Prior to that, I was the second employee at Morning Brew, where I spent my days up until the acquisition by Business Insider.

I’m no mathematician, but the only correlation I can find between the success of the two is Big Desk Energy.

It’s a weekly newsletter where I share my experiences, processes, and philosophies as a startup founder with a lot of strong opinions and absolutely no filter. Oh and some music and good vibes mixed in.

Why another newsletter?

I think there’s a lot of people in the startup world who like to give advice that aren’t really doing the damn thing.

I also think there’s a ton of qualified people who are now too far removed from the trenches.

|
But I’m an open book and in the thick of things right now. I’ll share what we’re trying, what’s working, what’s not, raw numbers, trends I’m seeing, “oh shit” startup stories, and everything in between.
