All BGP racers will participate in one of several Open 5K Races throughout the day. The top 40 finishers in each Open Heat will advance to the 3K Super Finals at night, and positions 41-100 will advance to the 3K B Finals. The course is a 1K loop that takes you through the Brooklyn Storehouse and around a winding F1-inspired circuit on the streets.
Here's where it gets extra interesting: the Super Finals will utilize starting grid positioning. The higher you finish in your Open Race, the closer to the starting line you'll be positioned in the Super Final.
THE RELAY (SOLD OUT)
In addition to individual races, there will be a 4-person team relay (minimum 2 women per team) between the Open Races and the Finals. Each team member will race one 1K lap of the course. The top three teams take home prizes.
TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY
The Team Championship trophy will be awarded to the team with the lowest total score. 6 scorers per team with no limit to total team size. The lower each individual finishes, the better your team scores. Scoring counts across the Super Finals and the B Finals.
