Bespoked Part 1

Hosted over three days at the Dresden airport in Germany, the first Central European edition of Bespoked was a massive success. That is, if success is measured by the number of new bikes and components that Josh Weinberg wished he could bring back to the States with him. In Part 1 of his Reportage from the makers’ showcase, Josh spotlights two interpretations of a road bike from Atelier Pariah and Cicli Bonnano, Boucif Custom Bikes’ take on a Comfort bike, mtbs from Dhouly and Sour, a Meerglas Randonneur, and exciting component announcements from Ingrid and Cyber!

Bespoked Part 2

Our Bespoked coverage continues with more head-turning bikes and components from Josh’s time in Dresden. Part 2 highlights include: a vintage-mod tandem from Auguste; two very different trail bikes from ACTOFIVE and Bididu; a Manivelle Townie; Star Fish’s Mixte; Tim Tas+Rek’s hardtail tourer; True Love’s Gravel Bike; Posedla’s custom 3D-printed saddles; Gramm and Allygn’s rack and bag collab; and—as Quirk claims—the world’s only stainless steel, 3D-printed road bike. Bespoked Part 3

We’re wrapping our Bespoked coverage with a final gallery and maker roundup from a very jet-lagged Josh. While we’re hesitant to use the “best for last” label, this collection of mostly trail-forward and classic randonneuring designs closes out the show on a high note for us. Komoot Slovenia Women’s Rally

Komoot has been hosting all-women’s non-competitive bikepacking rallies since 2021, but this September marked their first such event in Slovenia. Hailey Moore made the trip overseas to share the ride with women from all over the world and reflects on the nature of these events, her first impressions of riding in Slovenia, and a sneak peek at the True Love Heart Breaker that she rode for the duration of her time in Europe.
