What you'll do
Wash 1 to 2 tablespoons of sprout seeds to put in your clean* jar
Don’t fill your jar up more than about a quarter of the way, these little seeds will expand :)
Cover seeds with about 2” of warm water and secure cheesecloth to the jar opening with a rubber band to sit overnight
The next day, tip jar to pour out water, then rinse with new water, and drain again
Air it out! Place jar upside down and tipped a bit to allow any remaining water to escape (there are lots of ways to prop up your jar at this angle, just make sure it allows for air circulation and is out of direct sunlight*)
REPEAT :) Soak, Drain, Rinse and Tip, twice everyday until your seeds have spouted into- well, sprouts!
Keep the seeds from drying out or standing in water- can take a week or so, depending on the seeds you’re sprouting
Give those cute sprouts a final rinse before enjoying and use them within a week, can be stored dried and in a covered container in the fridge, a clean towel or paper towel tucked in there can soak up any extra moisture to keep them fresh
Add your sprouts to a warm meal, put a bunch in your smoothie, garnish your bagel- choose your own sprout adventure!
