| This week, I am writing you from Paris, where I’ve had the incredible honor of being a guest of Chanel for the launch of their gorgeous new fragrance, Chance Eau Splendide. My time here has been nothing short of magical—from the glittering launch party, featuring a performance by Belgian singer Angèle, to a private tour of Coco Chanel’s legendary apartment. Located just off Place Vendôme at 31 Rue Cambon, it sits atop the first Chanel boutique. Stepping inside was like entering another world, one that perfectly reflects her eclectic taste. Think: mirrored staircases, crystal chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, and accents from all over the globe, including Chinese folding screens and animal statues. | Q: What are your top tips for a sharp, clean cat eye? |
| A: Honing my cat eye skills is a never-ending journey. Personally, I love the ease and convenience of a felt-tip pen. Stila’s Stay All Day liquid liner has been my go-to for years, and lately, I’ve made the switch to their dual-ended pen. One side has the classic thicker tip, which I use to create the main shape, while the fine, precise tip on the other end helps me refine and sharpen the lines. Another tip I picked up from celebrity makeup artist Jo Baker: “It’s old school, but the classic wedge, when damp, gives you the perfect invisible shaping tool to get those lines extra sharp and elongated.” Lastly, tapered Q-tips are always a secret weapon!
