Municipal Baths—Strasbourg

Built by architect Fritz Beblo 1905—Renovated by Chatillon Architects.

This bathhouse does not leave one unmoved. Having first opened its doors in 1908, this historic building is renowned for its stunning Art Nouveau architecture. Having undergone several renovations to preserve its historical roots, the space integrates contemporary and regional characteristics. The interplay of symmetry, space and light, provides a serene environment for bathing and relaxation.

Sculptural tub and vanity

By Jermaine Gallacher Interiors—Photography by Oskar Proctor

Inspired by American architect George Nakashima, Jermain Gallacher approached the renovation of a Georgian townhouse bathroom in London with a 'less-is-more' philospohy. Gallacher introduced a tiled tub and vanity, reminiscent of the sculptural bath at Nakashima’s Pennsylvania home, and incorporates subtle floral motifs inspired by his client’s illustrations. The addition of a Satellite Mirror by the late Irish architect and furniture designer, Eileen Gray, is the finishing detail within this eclectic bathing space.

A Year Without A Kiln—NYC

By Simone Bodmer-Turner showcased at Emma Scully Gallery

Currently held at Emma Scully Gallery, 'A Year Without A Kiln' is a non-ceramic exhibition by the multidisciplinary artist, Simone Bodmer-Turner. During a time of transition, Bodmer-Turner explored and developed furniture and functional objects into her practise. The exhibition features lighting inspired by her lifelong influences, and side tables created in collaboration with various artisans. With Scully's curatorial vision, the exhibition is an experience that transcends mere display.

Sculptural Sterling Silver Lighter Case

Designed to elevate everyday rituals, the Sterling Silver Lighter Case features precious stones by Sophie Buhai. Offering an heirloom-like quality the design inspires you to use this object with intention. Each sculptural case is hand crafted and made to order in Los Angeles from recycled and responsibly sourced sterling silver—a piece to be passed down through generations.

Hotel Hevresac—Spain

By Emma Martí Architecture

Spanish architect Emma Martí has transformed an 18th-century townhouse on the Balearic island of Menorca into Hevresac Hotel—a sanctuary rich with history. Martí was entrusted with conserving the character of the building and its existing architectural elements, from wooden beams and mosaic flooring to stucco walls and staircases. Soak in the cast iron tub whilst overlooking the streets and tranquil courtyard.
