Monzo May Journal
On Saturday we launched Sunny Side Up: Brunch with Monzo, a revamped version of our community workshops with more community members, more time for discussion, and a couple of Danish pastries thrown in for good measure! Team members from across the company presented ideas and plans for the future before throwing them open to the floor for suggestions, questions and feedback. A huge thanks to everyone who came along. Look out for news of the next Sunny Side Up very soon!
In addition to the presentations, we enjoyed a few previews and updates on debit cards, lending and community. We’ll be posting the summarised minutes of the Sunny Side Up Workshop on the community forum this week, but in the meantime, here are a few of the sneak peeks we couldn’t wait to share 😉
-The new Monzo debit card is coming! We’re hard at work polishing our backend card processor systems to make sure everything’s working smoothly. 48 members of staff now have Monzo current accounts 🎉 11 of these team members have also been testing a potential overdraft facility with their accounts.
-We’ll be trialling a community 'City Reps' scheme across 3 major cities over summer. Stay tuned for details on how to be involved! We’re on the lookout for great people to coordinate a diverse programme of events in their home cities with our support.
