In Chicago, spring means you never know what you’re going to get, weather-wise. Thankfully, with the reopening of indoor dining, and with some newly reopened restaurants coming out of winter hibernation (hello, Monteverde!), we have more options and (we hope) warmer temperatures, too, to relax al fresco. In this latest New on Resy, we have both indoor and outdoor dining options, from a new modern Greek taverna to a classic Mexican hot spot that’s been reborn. Oh, and plenty of options for drinks. Cheers to that.

Taquizo
Wicker Park
What was once Las Palmas is now Taquizo, a thrilling taqueria that has quickly become a Chicago favorite. With a menu of nearly a dozen tacos, quesatacos (a taco with crispy, melted cheese as its vehicle), and burritos, it’s clear that Taquizo’s chef Yanitzin Sanchez knows how to indulge us. Margaritas like the spicy “cha-charita,” made with mezcal, fresh lime juice, jalapeño, cilantro, and “secrets,” come highly recommended.

Andros Taverna
Logan Square
Chef Doug Psaltis offers his take here on the Greek cuisine he grew up eating. The menu features his family’s recipes for classic dishes, including eggplant moussaka and spanakopita, which hold their own against Athenian street-food favorites like souvlaki, and a lineup of charcoal-grilled meats and seafood including a lemon garlic chicken, Mediterranean octopus, and Grecian sea bream.
