Last Saturday morning I opened up my Headspace app and watched a self-described, stay-at-home dad rollerblade at a skatepark in LA, and talk about the critical need for adults to play. It was so moving.

My husband is also an adult man who loves to rollerblade! He hadn’t done it in years, and on a whim I told him to pack his rollerblades and I found a nearby skatepark. He was totally surprised, and had a great time exploring the half-pipes and jumps. It was such a pleasure to watch him play. He’s been talking about what an amazing morning it was now for days, and we are inspired to continue this practice of granting ourselves dedicated adult playtime going forward.
