Ueno is the 1189th fastest growing private company in the U.S., according to Inc Magazine's annual guide.
“We’ve never borrowed money, and we’ve never sought outside investment. This is a major accomplishment, and I’m super proud,” said the boss, who also acknowledged that this may undermine the company's reputation as a scrappy, loveable underdog.
We are simply delighted to announce to the world that Andy Giles (pictured here below, looking all cuddly) has joined Ueno, instantly doubling the number of our Partnership Directors.
Want to lose at chess to Andy? Because Ueno is hiring.
Good news for our friends in far away places: David Navarro, ECD of Ueno NY, is speaking at the Awwwards Digital Thinkers Conference in Tokyo in January, and Lead Designer Marco Coppeto is representing at OFFF in Tel Aviv in September.
And if that's too complicated, we have a couple of great Chatty Hours lined up in New York and San Francisco in the next couple of weeks.
A question from “Anonymous,” via email:
“Dear Ueno, do you have any tips on presenting your designs to a client?”
Dear Anonymous,
In my experience, no presentation is the same. The “right” way to present depends on so many different things, including the client, the people, the project and the stage of your project.
Need advice? Email your questions to hi@ueno.co with “Dear Ueno,” in the subject, or tweet at us with #DearUeno. You can also check out our old advice or read about why we’re doing this. (Nothing bad will happen.)
Take to the sound waves with João Siquera, Ueno‘s Brazilian Head of Finance and Surfing.
