Hello Matt,

As 2023 draws to a close, we're taking a moment to reflect on the year and assess our accomplishments. We've seen several releases, updates across the majority of our catalog, earned awards, updated licenses, completed custom projects, and much more.

Recently, we've revamped our licenses to enhance functionality and, hopefully, simplify the process. We've introduced three categories of licenses: Physical, Digital, and Non-Commercial (Designer). The Non Commercial License is designed to offer you the opportunity to purchase full fonts at very affordable price for testing and presenting to clients.

This year marked the establishment of a new type foundry named Modern Type. We have partnered with them to facilitate the production and hosting of a wider variety of typefaces. Modern Type is a global typeface foundry with a mission to foster a more robust understanding of non-Eurocentric perspectives, rooted in cultural context and yielding multi-script outcomes.

We eagerly anticipate collaborating further in the upcoming year and releasing some fonts through their foundry. Stay tuned to their social media channels for upcoming releases.

We also created a T-shirt celebrating the alliance currently a few are left through the io Design Company website.

Throughout the year, we have focused on standardising the character sets for all our typefaces. Alexandro, Texel, and Geometer have all been updated to our new character set of 507. The primary goal is to enhance the accessibility of our fonts to a broader range of Latin-based languages.

Ex Abstract marks the inaugural collaborative font crafted through a partnership between our foundry and Modern Type (MTMF). Emergent X approached our foundry with the desire to create a typeface that embodies their company's mission of deriving clarity from abstraction. The resulting typeface is an adventurous journey.

Anticipating the year ahead, we have a multitude of exciting plans. Initially, we aim to update the remaining typefaces in our current catalog to conform to our standard set. Furthermore, we're gearing up for the re-release of LXII Display, this time as a variable version, and our tests so far have been quite enjoyable. Additionally, we aspire to unveil two or three new typefaces to complete the year. It promises to be an exciting journey, and we're eagerly looking forward to sharing more typographic creations with you all.
