I got my dog Thor, an adorable (but energetic) german shepherd puppy who clearly needed a lot of exercise.

As part of the family I was always worried about him jumping the fence to go track something in the woods, running too far on the beach, or not being walked properly by his dog walker.

And I was right - I soon found out that my dog walker was “taking shortcuts” and I decided to buy a GPS tracker for him - however, nothing out there could satisfy our high demands as a dog owner. The GPS signal was unreliable, the battery died too fast, and I could never see where Thor had been all day or how much he exercised.

So, with my co-founder Loren, we set out to change this.

With our background in engineering, we studied every radio wave technology to build the first smart collar that was reliable, safe for your dog, and would last for weeks on a single battery charge.

We called it Fi (like Fido) - because it’s about bringing our best friends into the next century with us. In better health, safer, and as an integral part of our families.

We are incredibly excited about the journey ahead and rest assured that the Fi Collar is just the first step into us building a brighter, safer future for all dogs, and the owners who love them like family.
