The Third Monday in April

Preheader

The day that would have been.

Since 1897, the third Monday in April has marked race day for thousands of runners. While today is the day that would have been, we know that Marathon Monday remains a powerful motivator. We hope the coming months provide opportunities to improve as a runner and we can't wait to welcome you back to Boston in the fall.

Now available for qualifiers, the BQ '20 Singlet is here. Cut from our lightest performance mesh in classic Boston colors, this singlet is designed to be as honed as you are on race day.

Quantities are limited.

Today we’re revisiting a story of resilience and the Marathon. One of six Japanese runners to win Boston between 1951 and 1969, Yoshiaki Unetani, was born in October 1944 in Hiroshima, just nine months before the atomic bomb was dropped. Liam Boylan-Pett shares his story and the history of Japanese marathons in Boston "Before Yuki."
