As part of our Climate Positive mission, we're committed to making a positive impact through climate action. As this year comes to a close, we wanted to share with you the impact that you've collectively helped make.

 
   

  • Planted 30,000 trees in Haiti, Indonesia, Madagascar & Nepal

  • Removed 30,000 kg of ocean plastic in Southeast Asia

  • Removed 6x more plastic than we use in our products themselves

  • Created 150 jobs for ocean plastic collection and tree planting

  • Empowered at-risk women through steady income and job training

  • Offset 150% of our C02 footprint, going beyond net zero

  • Founded a brand alliance to plant trees and remove ocean plastic 

 


CLIMATE TOGETHER

 

For Earth Day, we created Climate Together, an alliance of 22 like-minded sustainable brands that proved that joined up to take climate action. In just seven days, the alliance planted 15,000 trees and removed 15,000 kg of ocean plastic.

CLIMATE INITIATIVES

- Positive Purchase - With each Hitch Bottle and Cup purchase, we plant 1 tree and remove 1kg ocean plastic 

- Carbon Neutral Shipping - We offer carbon neutral shipping on all US orders over $50

- ReHitch - Circular take-back program for products at the end-of-life

- Blue Friday - Turned Black Friday blue by donating a % of sales to Surfrider Foundation for coastal ocean cleanup

- Giving Tuesday -  Donated a % of sales to further tree planting efforts

- Plastic Free July - Donated a % of sales to further ocean plastic cleanup efforts
