We welcome Abby Wambach to Uber |
We recently welcomed Abby Wambach - FIFA World Cup Champion, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and New York Times best selling author - into Uber HQ to rally employees around the principles in her new book, Wolfpack: How to Come Together, Unleash Our Power, and Change the Game. She spoke with Janelle Sallenave, Regional General Manager of Uber Eats for the US & Canada, about making space for everyone at the table and how individual weaknesses build stronger teams. During the conversation, Abby reflected on a moment early in her career that changed her view on what being a part of a high performing team really means: “Your weaknesses are important, because where your weaknesses lie is where my strengths overlap. You have to have weaknesses, otherwise my strengths wouldn’t be my strengths; my strengths wouldn’t be seen.” Read Janelle’s reflection of the conversation here. ✈️ Uber Elevate | The future is here |
Ushering in the era of urban aviation for everyone everywhere can’t be achieved by a single organization—it requires collaboration and open dialogue. The annual Uber Elevate Summit convened with over 1200+ attendees who are a part of the global community of builders, investors, policymakers, and government officials all working toward making the vision of urban aerial ridesharing a reality. “Nowadays, we either evolve or we get left behind.” - Dan Elwell, Acting Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) |
