🍂 @tiffpenguin's got a fall colors photo challenge for you.

Fall is in the air. Our favorite drinks, crunchy leaves, and stellar views from the tops of our favorite mountains. Ahhh, life is good. It’s those simple pleasures, no? So, what better way to celebrate than a good ole fashioned Fall Colors photography challenge for a chance to win h*ekca money and gear from your favorite brands? Here’s how it works. 👇

Post to Instagram. Must be a new upload, can be captured on any camera, and use the hashtag #MomentChallenge so we can find you.

Follow @tiffpenguin, @lexarmemory, @peakdesign, and @nomad for an added bonus. 😉

1 winner gets $1,000 to the Moment Shop, Tiffany’s lesson, 1TB SSD from Lexar, bag from Peak, and $200 from Nomad.

To get you prepared for our fun #MomentChallenge, we have some simple tips for you to follow. Grab a VND, charge your batteries, and strap on your hiking boots!

Sounds obvious, but really aim to research when and where the best fall colors are present in your area. The peak of fall color is short-lived, so be prepared to head out before chilly autumn storms knock the leaves to the ground.

Make the most out of available light whenever possible. Sunset and sunrise offer that creamy golden light that paints a beautiful glow over the landscape, be sure to time your photos around this time of day if you can.

Using either a CPL or VND filter can reduce unwarranted reflections from water, darken skies, and enhance cloud contrast — all of which will balance colors and make the whole scene more vivid.

Our tips are cool, but there’s more to learn. Tiffany Nguyen (@tiffpenguin) has the landscape game down. She's developed the perfect guide to snap gorgeous, compelling landscape photos, and she's sharing it with you. In her lesson, she shares her formula for composition, lighting, editing and more.
What's even better is that it's on sale for a limited time, so buy yours sooner than later!
