Seven years ago, #GivingTuesday was brand new—just a scrappy idea started by our friends at the 92nd Street Y in New York City. Then, generous people just like you stepped in, and that scrappy idea began to spread.

Today, millions of people around the world will celebrate generosity by giving their time, money, and voices to support the organizations they love. They’ll counter problems like dirty water, poverty, education, and homelessness. And the world will be better for it.
