We review the ness and share two articles we can't stop thinking about.

Preheader

NYC's newest trampoline studio borders Tribeca, Soho, and Chinatown. And it might be different than what you expect.

This week: we review the ness and share some smart reads on wellness and the optimized self.

FEATURED SPACE

the ness

the ness is NYC's newest trampoline studio and it feels more adult than your standard SkyZone experience. While it's not open bounce hour, it's not so challenging that you'll be lost in the air either. This studio is technically invitation only at the moment, but we've got your back.

THOUGHT SPACES

We recently read two stellar pieces on the *wellness-industrial complex* and the oppressive nature of the ever optimized-self.  They're linked below and they're long, but they're good.

And we're using this opportunity to remind our community what we're all about: moving your body for an hour and then moving on. We're not pitching a new lifestyle. Working out is for everyone, regardless of what you eat, drink, or wear. 💛

Taffy Brodesser-Akner pushes back on calmness, mindfulness, and today's "Highly Regimented Woman."

STAY TUNED

Upcoming dates for Yoga in the Garden: 8/11, 8/18, 8/25, 9/1, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29

Stay tuned for our review of Merge New York, a "self-discovery studio" in lower Manhattan.

Heatwise, a Brooklyn-based hot yoga studio just opened a second location in Park Slope. Here's our original review of their Brooklyn Heights location. We really like this place.
