Hi Smiles Davis,
We’ve updated our Privacy Policy and increased our transparency with a new Cookies Policy to reflect evolving best practices and an ongoing alignment with data privacy laws.
These policies include updated information regarding how Teachable collects, uses, and shares personal information, including the personal information of your Students. They also contain details about the data rights and choices that all of our users have regarding their personal information.
We’ve also taken this opportunity to update our privacy processes to better support your business. As of July 1, 2020, Teachable’s Data Processing Agreement (DPA) has been updated and made part of our Terms of Use. This means that all of our Creators can now rely on the terms of our DPA, which applies automatically whenever the Teachable Platform is used for the processing of personal information. As our DPA is now included in our Terms of Use, Creators do not have to take additional steps to be compliant with applicable privacy law requirements for data processing. You can review our DPA here.
The updated policies take effect as of July 1, 2020. You will have the chance to accept our updated terms the next time you visit our platform. Note that if you’ve previously signed a DPA with Teachable, that DPA will remain in effect.
As always, if you have any questions, please contact privacy@teachable.com.
