We’ve updated our Ts&Cs 📝

Easier to understand, updated with some regulatory changes, and additional privacy. Here’s what’s changed.

Hello,

Before we go into the nitty gritty, rest assured that no action is needed from you and these changes shouldn’t affect how you use Typeform.

Why are we updating our online terms and conditions?

It’s been more than one year since we last updated our terms and conditions and a lot has changed since then—with more to come! To ensure that we’re all on the same page we needed to better arrange our terms.

These modifications could be summarized as follows:

  • We’ve improved the wording, deleted outdated references and better adjusted the contents of our service terms and conditions by:
  • We have unified the terms for our both products, Typeform and VideoAsk, to make it simpler to navigate through them. Please note that this only aimed at easing our internal operations and, except for the topics listed below, no other substantial changes have been made. Additionally, the merging has resulted in some of the terms, like the Cookie Policy being merged;
  • Including new terms regarding new awesome functionalities that we are planning to offer;
  • Reviewing and updating how we will address unauthorized behaviors when using our product;
  • Explaining what happens and what we can do when a user on a free plan does not access our product in a long time;
  • Clarifying how we can communicate with you;
  • We’ve updated our terms to include our new address and contact details;
  • We have also taken a look at the Payment Terms to clarify how we calculate applicable taxes;
  • We’ve updated the cookie we use to offer you our product; and,
  • We’ve rearranged and simplified the data processing agreement to avoid misunderstandings and make them easier to read, including new adjustments because of CPRA —but all safeguards and obligations imposed by law have been kept.

These last changes are aimed at improving the protection granted to the personal data we are processing on your behalf. Because security is one of our main values and we care about how data is being processed, we are always making our best efforts to provide you with clear and transparent legal texts, easy to understand and apply.

What happens if I have an Enterprise plan?

If you are an Enterprise customer, this change may not impact you. Please check the arrangements you have in place with us for further detail or contact your account executive.

Does this impact how I use Typeform?

Considering that we are changing the terms to make them clearer and enhance our security privacy standards, you will be able to keep seamlessly using the services without interruption.

Only if you are under a free plan and you have not accessed the product for more than two years, in which case we will be able to delete your account (and with it your stored information). Please, note that you are always welcome to come back.

Do I need to do anything at all?

If you’re happy with the changes, you don’t need to do anything. The changes will automatically apply within the following 30 days.

If you’re not comfortable with the new wording, you can always contact us to negotiate specific terms and conditions for your account through an enterprise plan or cancel your account before the date mentioned above—but we’d be sad to see you go.

Where can I access the older version of the terms and conditions?
