What we have been working on

Hi there!

The blokdots beta is almost ready to launch and you will soon receive your beta invites. We couldn’t be more excited and can’t wait for you to try and build your own projects!

With blokdots you will be able to program hardware without writing a line of code. Just build your prototypes through easy wizards.

With the start of the beta phase almost in sight we want to take this opportunity and share some of the things we have been working on during the last months with you, so you know it is well worth waiting for.

New Components

We included a lot of new components to provide a variety of possibilities for your prototypes. Have a look at the list here.

Some features we are excited about

If-Then-Card
If-Then-Cards are at the core of blokdots. They let you express your ideas for a hardware prototype in seconds.
 

Live View
The Live View is the control center for your components – here you can set and see their values, in a unit of your choice. It even visualises the past values for you.

Component Setup Wizard
If you are new to working with Arduinos it can be hard to know which component can be plugged into which slot. blokdots’ Component Setup Wizard figures out which slot to use for you.
 

Mapping Card
blokdots also lets you model continuous relationships between components. You want to set the speed of your fan in relation to the current temperature? No problem!

Control Components
Some components offer even more control. Specialised controls, like a colour picker, mean you can make the most out of your hardware.
 

Code Export
Visual prototyping only takes you so far and at some point you might have to leave blokdots behind to go build your product – don’t worry, we understand! Code Export takes your project and turns it into clean, human-readable JavaScript code.
