Beefree acquired Really Good Emails! Here’s why I’m excited…

We probably haven’t met before. I’m our Head of Strategy and Community, and I joined the team pretty recently—on January 17th, to be exact. 

I’m popping by your inbox today with some really exciting news! I realize the subject line probably gave it away, but I’ll say it again… 

Beefree has acquired Really Good Emails 🎉

This is a little embarrassing, but I’m old enough (and have been creating emails for long enough) that I used to maintain a separate email inbox solely to sign up for emails from brands I admired. Whenever I needed some inspiration or was at a loss for how to approach a campaign, that inbox was waiting for me.  

So you can imagine how exciting it was when Really Good Emails (RGE) first launched in 2014. Even in the early days, they had so many more emails than I was able to collect in that inbox, and their catalog was growing daily. They introduced me to brands, campaigns, and ideas I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. 

From inspiration to action

Some of my favorite emails that inspired campaigns of my own.

Over time, I met RGE’s founders, and we became friends. I learned that the website I’d grown to rely on was a side hustle/volunteer effort on top of their regular jobs. They had dreams to make RGE bigger and better, but they needed more time, more money, more full-time focus. And we’re thrilled to play a role in making those dreams come true. 

What all this means for you

Joining forces with Really Good Emails is so much more than a collaboration; it's a fusion of two communities passionate about making the art and science of email creation more accessible, more inspiring, and simply, more fun.

  • All the Pro features on reallygoodemails.com are now free and available to everyone. You can create and curate unlimited collections, add your favorite emails, and use the Chrome extension to streamline the entire process. 
  • Unspam is back! Earlier this week, I joined Mike from RGE onstage to co-host Unspam in Greenville, SC. It was incredible to meet so many of the friendly and passionate people behind the emails we see in the RGE catalog. We aim to bring the infectious spirit of Unspam to more people while keeping the unconventional and casual environment that you’ve grown to love.

  • Grow your expertise and build your career: Whether it’s through articles, how-to videos, podcasts, meetups, mentorship, or opportunities to share your knowledge with others, one of my greatest joys is helping you get what you need to grow a successful career in email.
  • From a product point of view, you will start seeing integrations between RGE and Beefree. We’ll start small and get fancier over time, making it easier to seamlessly transition from inspiration to creation with Beefree's intuitive design tools.
