HEALTH SAFETY PROGRAM |
New rideshare requirements
|
We all have a responsibility to help protect each other from COVID-19. In order
to ride with Lyft, you'll now be required to follow a new set of health and safety
rules — and drivers will, too.
Get ready for your next ride with this quick video of top tips from the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), part of our new Health Safety Program. |
|
|
To get the new safety experience, make sure you have the
latest version of the app. |
What you'll need to do: |
Stay home if you have COVID-19 |
If you feel sick, staying home is the best way to help contain it and protect
other people. |
|
Wear your face covering |
To help slow the spread of the virus, put your face covering on before you get
in the car, and wear it for the whole ride. |
|
Keep the car — and your hands — clean |
Sanitize your hands before touching anything in the car. And please don't leave
trash behind. |
|
Sit in the back seat |
Out of respect for your driver, put some protective distance between yourself
and the driver's seat. |
|
Keep the car windows open |
When possible, do your part to help increase air circulation in the car. |
|
|
|
Thank your driver
|
Excellent service may look a little different these days. Instead of sharing water
bottles and helping with your luggage, drivers are putting in extra work in other
ways. They're wearing masks, commiting to keeping their car clean, and more —
exactly the sorts of things that deserve a healthy tip or an enthusiastic 'thank
you.'
