The R1T was also recently named the safest midsize pickup truck, earning the highest safety rating of TOP SAFETY PICK+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety — passing the IIHS’s new tougher testing standards for 2023 across all categories.
We consider these awards to be further proof of the passion for excellence and innovation that is at the heart of everything we do at Rivian. Deliveries for new R1T reservations are expected to start in fall, 2023.
