Artist in Focus: The pastel lines of Linda Gobeta

Artist in Focus: The pastel lines of Linda Gobeta Juniqe

From Latvia to London and back again—illustrator Linda Gobeta loves living the urban life while setting up house in close proximity to nature. Her passion for pastel palettes and geometric shapes bursts forth in every single one of her designs.

“I enjoy going on city trips in Europe to make room for new ideas by changing my environment. When I wish to travel quickly and swiftly I travel the internet.”

She has found inspiration in everything from the fluid curves of a vase to the glossy pages of a fashion magazine to the explorative journey of an arts workshop.

A typical day in Linda’s life includes throwing on some vinyl, burning scents from her essential oil collection and playing around with pens, paints and patterns. Her tools of choice—Illustrator and her iPad.

“I appreciate clean, modern and slightly experimental design.”

With her feline friend and self-proclaimed Creative Director Ella tiptoeing around her workspace at all times, Linda is always kept in good spirits and in good company.
