Introducing 1000+ official genre tags and 300+ charts

We’re excited to announce some long awaited changes to how genre tagging works on Mixcloud!

We’ve replaced ‘primary’ and ‘secondary’ tags with a new interactive system that recognises genres as you type, prompting you to select from a new expanded database of over 1000 official genres and sub-genres. This change has also enabled us to create over 300 official weekly genre charts to help your music travel even further!
