Whether it’s a free pastry, access to an event, or a drink on us, each perk is hand-selected by the discerning, particular, and obsessive staff of New York. This program is the latest special offering — alongside private events, subscriber-only newsletters, and courses — that is now included with your New York subscription.

We’re pleased to launch the program — for now available only in New York City — with La Cabra , a café and bakery born in Denmark. How It Works

Each month, a new perk will be delivered to you via email. You’ll be able to redeem it through the “Perks” tab on your account page or via nymag.com/perks . (Tip: It’s even better in the most updated version of the New York app .) From there, you can see more details about the monthly offer, along with instructions on how to claim it.

A note from La Cabra

La Cabra marks its 15th year with a shift toward refining its direction. Coffee remains the foundation, but everything around it has become more considered, from the bakery to the design to the overall experience.

New York City is central to that evolution. In the past year, La Cabra has expanded from the East Village to Soho and a roastery in Brooklyn, with a flagship bakery and café coming to Chelsea. That space brings the vision into focus, pairing a Copenhagen-based team with local talent and a stronger emphasis on baking and hospitality.

At the same time, La Cabra is growing globally, with new locations in Madrid, Seoul, and Mexico City. Each city shapes the company in different ways. So while the footprint expands, the intention remains the same: to create places that reflect where they are.
