Panic usually makes the Mac and iOS apps you use daily: Transmit, Coda, Prompt, etc. But two years ago, we thought it might be interesting to bring something different to life: a game.

That game — Firewatch — is now officially coming out on February 9th, 2016.

Mark your calendar. It'll be available for Mac, PC, and PlayStation 4.

So what is Firewatch, then? It's a first-person adventure/exploration game set in the Wyoming wilderness. You're a new-recruit fire lookout, and your only friend is on the other end of a two-way radio. As your relationship grows, so do the mysteries you uncover. It's being created by Campo Santo, a brand new game studio filled witih people who brought you games like The Walking Dead: Season 1, BioShock II, The Cave, and more.

It's shaping up to be something special.
