The Goods—No. 45: Anxiety-Reducing Bagels, Climate Optimism and Perfect Prompts

The good, the rad, and the lovely — our search history this month has soothed, united and inspired us and we hope you feel as we do. Let’s get into it!

ANXIETY-REDUCING BAGELS

We’ve been letting the soothing soundscapes of Benee’s new single, Bagel wash over us on repeat since its release this month. She worked with neuroscientists at Auckland University of Technology, to make a song that relaxes the nervous system, modifies brain activity and eases those unwanted feelings of anxiousness.

CLIMATE OPTIMISM

“Humanity is doomed" is often the rhetoric surrounding the the climate crisis that we all face. However, where a pessimistic outlook is detrimental, having an optimistic yet complacent approach is just as damaging. This insightful piece by Hannah Ritchie highlights the need for the right kind of climate optimism, “where the future can be better if we work hard to change it”.
