How one marketer runs email for three brands with RGE Studio
How one marketer keeps three distinct brand identities on track, building every campaign from approved work before it moves into Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot).

Ashley Treangen is Head of Communications at Docupace, a wealth management technology company based in Holmdel, New Jersey, that has been digitizing back-office operations for banks, broker-dealers, and registered investment advisors since 2002. Over time, Docupace acquired PreciseFP, a client data-gathering platform, and Hubly, a workflow management tool for advisory firms, and kept both running under their own brand names rather than folding them into Docupace's identity.
The challenge: one email operation, three brand systems
That decision left Ashley responsible for email production across three distinct visual identities. Each campaign needed a reliable starting point. Each brand's assets and styles had to stay separate. She also needed a way to gather feedback from teammates, executives, and an external agency partner before emails were approved and sent to Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot).
A workflow built to move fast without starting over each time
The habit that makes this manageable shows up in how Ashley starts each new email. Rather than building from a blank canvas, she duplicates an existing, on-brand design and adjusts it for the send in front of her. Nearly all of her recent work in RGE Studio follows this pattern. That gives every new campaign a proven starting point and removes the need to reconstruct each brand's visual system from scratch.
RGE Studio keeps the three brands separate through three dedicated workspaces, one for Docupace, one for Hubly, and one for PreciseFP. Each workspace keeps its own designs, assets, and brand choices separate. Docupace uses Poppins, while Hubly and Precise FP use Open Sans, and those decisions carry forward whenever Ashley duplicates an existing design. Hubly's workspace also uses a synced HubSpot merge tag set, reflecting the brand's existing CRM and CMS setup from before the acquisition.
Keeping each brand's font consistent through export takes one more manual step, which Ashley repeats on every send. Account Engagement has a known quirk where it can miscount clicks based on the Google Fonts reference in an email's HTML, so before anything goes out, she swaps in the correct font-loading snippet for whichever brand she's working on, Poppins for Docupace or Open Sans for the other two. She keeps the fix saved on her desktop and knows exactly where it falls in the code, a habit she's long since automated to take about ten seconds.
Collaboration without adding more builders
Review works differently depending on who's checking the email. For Hubly and PreciseFP, her teammate, Nora, leaves comments directly inside RGE Studio, marking anything from a tone issue to a stale link left over from a duplicated template. Ashley resolves those comments in the tool and follows up with Nora over Slack when a conversation is needed. For executives who don't want to log into RGE Studio at all, she shares a view-only preview link instead, giving them a quick look and an informal sign-off before the email moves to export. An outside agency partner also works inside the same workspace structure, occasionally designing emails and landing pages directly.
From RGE Studio to Salesforce Account Engagement
Once a design is ready, Ashley sends it to Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) via the RGE Studio connector, specifying the campaign and folder in the export. She then opens the template in Account Engagement for a first pass, checking that anything built with separate desktop and mobile versions, such as a top navigation menu, renders as intended. When a block shows up on the wrong device or a row loses its alignment, she goes back to RGE Studio, exports the full HTML, and pastes it directly into the Account Engagement template, a workaround she relies on more than re-running the integration itself.
She also keeps the plain-text version aligned with the HTML on every send, then works through Account Engagement's own test groups, split between customer-facing and internal audiences, mixing recipients on different machines and Outlook versions to see how the email will actually look once it lands. Only after that internal round of approval does she schedule or launch the campaign.
Outlook's rendering limits also shape which templates she reaches for. Rather than using RGE Studio's template library as-is, she treats it as a source of inspiration, adapting design elements that Outlook doesn’t widely support (like background images) into versions that will display well across the inboxes her audience actually uses.
194 designs, 334 exports, one primary builder
In the past six months, Ashley created 194 designs in RGE Studio. Over the past year, she completed 334 exports to Pardot, making her the account's primary builder and sole exporter across all three brand workspaces.
"It has just been life-changing for me as a marketer. Hands down, probably the best money we spend every year as a marketing team."
